My Blank, The Blank

My Blank, The Blank

My blank
is THE blank
It is the best blank
of all
No other blank
can hold a candle
to my blank
The simplest reason
is this one for sure
It is my blank
It is my blank
and your blank
should always be
the best blank
for you

Fill it in

Blank News

Nothing in the news today
nothing that I would say
important enough for my
attention span to pay
I don’t want to hear
or I already know
opinions aren’t the same
as facts that failed to show
So go along your way
and think about the sway
blown all out of proportion
when in the news today

I’ll be Blank

I’ll be Blank

I suppose
as I grow old
my heart this knows
my brain won’t hold
on to everything
I’ve ever known
Some will go missing
as how I’d grown
when’s and where’s
will fade away
Not just yet
but in those days
I’ll be frank
and like the dove
I’ll be blank
of all but love

I’ll Never Blank

I’ll Never Blank

I’ll never blank a star
from existence
away so far
I’ll never seize its light
from the darkest of nights
or steal a beam from the moon
I’ll never know the heat
a single star can beat
when it’s shooting through the sky
I’ll never touch a star
or wander far
from the illuminated path
I walk to live
I’ll never cross the stars
the lovers they are
smiling on the rest of us

Holy Halfway Point

halfway to nowhere by shusical
halfway to nowhere by shusical

Holy Halfway Point

Bowing to the mighty
holy halfway point
from here it’s all down hill
Nearing the end of the push
fighting to follow prompts
that not only don’t move me
but that I have written to before
How many poems must I write
along the same theme
Maybe I’m just not creative enough
or maybe I’m trying to do too much
I usually love to write poetry
but no longer does it breeze
around my neck
down my spine
through my fingers
to the keys
It just teeters on
a bending edge
one line at a time
struggling
to whisk me away
