A Well-Defined Garden

Everyone hides something of themselves
even I, the proverbial open book
Perhaps it’s different things
at different times
in different places
for various reasons,
but of me yet
my secrets are known
Not dumped on one doorstep
just broken down
into precious pieces
carefully planted in the ground
Blossoming seeds of knowledge
for lessons learned
shared or snared
they lie there
in loving memory

2015 April PAD Challenge: Day 2

Wing-Dingin’ It

party in my head by mangaluvver
party in my head by mangaluvver

Wing-Dingin’ It

Party
inside my head
No dress code
Don’t bring anything
except your own
amenities
Socialize
with random words
as you wish
or stir alone
a wallflower
spun from gold
Everyone grows old
weary of effort
planning and
putting on airs
just for musical chairs
We all play
in some way
of charming the ghost
a delightful host
coming to take me away
Just one more dance
circumstance
Pomp is dashed and played
away
for youth
as it were
grandstanding

Let it Grow

Beautiful Release by chikaex0tica
Beautiful Release by chikaex0tica

Let it Grow

Release whatever holds you back
Release the knife still in your back
Release the ties that bind you down
Release the tears so you don’t drown
Release the darkness and the light
Release the fires you burn at night
Release the hate all tucked away
Release the games that people play
Release the bitter angry storm
Release your grief in every form
Release your expectations high
Release your foolish empty pride
Release this all unto the wind
Release it now and start again
Release releasing just let it all go
Release so on the way you’ll grow

Emergence

Emergence

New life
emerging from the earth
on these warm
November days

No time
to properly flourish
before frost
takes them all away
